Sophie Theallet is a renowned figure in the fashion industry, known for her impeccable craftsmanship and groundbreaking contributions to diversity and inclusion in high-end fashion. She began her illustrious career as an assistant to Jean-Paul Gaultier and served as the right-hand woman to Azzedine Alaïa for a decade. After her time with Alaïa, Sophie moved to New York City to launch her own brand, Sophie Theallet, which quickly earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Award, the USA Woolmark Prize, and France's National Young Design Award.
Sophie’s collaborations span some of the most iconic names in fashion and beauty, including Manolo Blahnik, GAP, Diane von Fürstenberg, Elie Tahari, NARS, Lancôme, Nine West, Lane Bryant, and The Limited. She has been a trailblazer in advocating for the representation of diversity on the runway, championing plus-size and mature models in her collections, thereby redefining beauty standards in the industry.
