Sophie Theallet BIO - Jean-Paul Gaultier, Azzedine Alaia, winner of the CFDA / VOGUE FASHION FUND, WOOLMARK Prize, FRANCE National Young Design Award, Collaboration & Designed for the GAP, NINE WEST, LANCOME, LANE BRYANT, The LIMITED. She is a trailblazer for opening the road for representation of Diversity & Plus Size models on the Runway and in High-End Fashion. Theallet was a Couture Consultant for the movie The Dressmaker to Director Jocelyn Moorhouse starring Kate Winslet. She now consults and designs for ROOM502
Sophie is quite a character–uncompromising and loyal, in friendship and in life. When she was working here in Paris with me, it was always very intense; we worked a lot but we had a lot of fun as well, because she was always full of energy and positivity. I was so happy for Sophie when I saw Mrs. Obama wearing one of her dresses.
Sophie has always been deeply determined, and she has worked greatly for her success. She has created a lovely style, feminine, elegant, but unassuming. She deserves all her success and I’m incredibly happy for her. She began as my right hand, and now she is my friend.
